Kassidy Grant is on the ball with Netball NSW selection

IT was Kassidy Grant's mum, Karen, who logged on to the Netball NSW website and saw her daughter's name in the under-12 side.

"Mum told me I'd made it and yeah, I was pretty excited, I was jumping up and down," Kassidy said.

She will travel to Brisbane early next month to play in the junior national championships, covering the wing attack and wing defence positions for her state.

Training with the elite Blues squad at Liverpool was intimidating at first.

"But I got used to it - it's definitely a step up."

Sport is the Hornsby Heights' 12-year-old's passion, but she can't decide which one.

She represents her school in swimming, running, soccer, softball and touch football, and plans to narrow her sport focus next year.
